Spoke to the manager over the phone prior to me visiting the business, he was very polite and courteous and gave me a clear turn around time for the completion of the test. Upon driving up to the business I was immediately greeted and checked in, I was informed that it will take 30 minutes at the most to complete. Time taken to finish the test was less than the estimated time provided. Service was quick and fast and customer service was outstanding. Would highly recommend this business and definitely convinced me frequent this place as a repeat customer.”

“These guys are great! Originally went to Purrfect Auto Services to get an inspection for my vehicle. They said my car needed to get some parts fixed/replaced but I would need to goto a shop specializing in off-roading cars to get that fixed, because Purrfect wasn't able to do it here. I call an off-roading place and they said these are actually basic repairs and I could goto a general repair shop to do it. I went to Santa Ana Smog & Repair and they were able to fix what Purrfect wasn't able to do. Jerry is awesome. He was incredibly helpful and provided great customer service! I will be a returning customer.”

The owner was so helpful and honest and as a woman i dread having to deal with car repair issues but this was the first time i felt totally at ease and the work he did only cost me 110 bucks. The part alone was going to be expensive but they called around trying to find it used for much less and when my husband found it first at pick a part he happily agreed to put it in for us still and worked with the part not being perfect since it was used. “I wrote the 'longest & most complimenting,' review last Wednesday, 5/18, on Yelp, that I have ever written, about any company, in any business category, that i've ever been, a customer of, in my entire life!!

I made this effort simply because, having a repair done, on my BMW, wasn't just, @ the lowest price, along with the 'highest quality of work', i've ever experienced, but, rather, the personal attention, the owner ( Jerry ), gives you, from start-to-finish !!! Trust me, 'when I tell you', if you're looking for a 'Complete Auto Service Station,' for you're Foreign/Domestic, or Classic car, in 'All of Orange County', look no further!!!

I myself, will never, use another car repair & smog shop, as long as, I own a car, period!!!

“Very impressed about this place. I had check engine lights in my bmw, it was running rough and my smog was up. They ran diagnostics and found the problems and fixed them timely.
They were very transperent. I got the referral from my pops who brought a Tacoma and a Mercedes through there for various reasons, both cars have been running great.

“I recently failed a smog test due to worn out catalytic converters. I took my SUV to Santa Ana Smog & Auto Repair and they were able to quickly assess and confirm the issue. I needed all (4) of my converters replaced and they were able to offer me a very fair price and fast service. The entire staff was very friendly and took the time to explain everything to me that needed to be done and why. They did a fantastic job and I passed my Smog test without any issues! “Santa Ana Smog & Auto repair offers great, quick service. They are conveniently located right next to the Santa Ana DMV, so we dropped by for our smog checks before registering our cars. They were able to fit us in immediately, despite not having appointments. With 2 cars, we were in and out within 30 minutes. The staff were also friendly and very professional. “I took my Audi A7 there for light and brake inspection as well as the SMOG and It failed the SMOG due to an aftermarket intake. Jerry took his time to research the C.A.R.B EO# and said that this number is up to 2013 and my vehicle is 2014. He gave me 30 days to resolve the problem an comeback for a free re-test. I called the manufacturer of the intake an in dead it's pending approval for my year so I had to buy an OEM air cleaner box. The fact that he actually took his time to research it before failing my SMOG test, is very unusual. Most places will fail it without even looking it up. Waiting for my air cleaner box to arrive so I can take it back for re-test.”

“I came here for a brake and light inspection. Met with Jerry. He immediately took my vehicle in. I was quoted $80 for the certificate. So it turned out that my headlights were loose. And that they were going to charge me $40. I needed the certificate for DMV so I payed. Another tech by the name of Al showed me the headlights. Al didn't let me finish talking. Kept talking over me. He talked with his mouth full of food. He's shirt wasn't button properly all his belly was sticking out. Dude was unprofessional. And Jerry was the opposite of that. So I payed $120 total for the brake and light inspection certificate.”

“I got brake work done on my car yesterday at SASR. This morning, I noticed something didn't sound right. Since SASR would not be open this morning when I needed to move between jobs, I decided to drop my car back off and leave a message for Jerry (owner) letting him know what the problem was. I would ask him to investigate and get back to me.

By simple coincidence, Jerry and I arrived at SASR at the same time, an hour before the shop opened. When I explained the problem, Jerry took immediate action to work on my car to get me back on the road.

I came to Jerry (owner) for a smog check repair after going to several locations that wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount of money just to check the problem and repair it. I spoke to Jerry and he was honest upfront and offered to take a look at it for FREE. After advising me what my car needed and quoting me a very reasonable amount, he repaired it and was able to get my smog check to PASS. Jerry was kind and professional and so were other guys working with him.

Santa Ana Smog Repair has gained a new customer and I will always refer my friends and family.”

Thank you so much Chris for making my 2012 Tacoma feel like a beast!! Replaced all my shocks, adjusted them to 3 inches in the front as requested. He also just installed new upper control arms for me and did a phenomenal job on the alignment as we'll especially for 31's. Took it off-road immediately after installed no problems everything's great!! He can do it all, he's installing new leafs in a couple of weeks for me. Called all the off road spots in OC everybody's price was almost 400$ with an alignment. Jerry charged me 200 with an alignment!! Thank you guys sooooo much!!!”

“Long story short, I needed a smog. Found out upon inspection though my car passed smog it wouldn't pass visual. Turns out the dealership that sold the car missed the modified NOT street legal air intake. Joy!

Jerry was very honest and helped me get a new intake on after the dealership I purchased the car from has shipped one.

As a woman, I have been made to feel stupid when it comes to vehicles and have been talked down to by other places. I may not be a mechanic but I'm no idiot. Jerry explained everything and gave me options!

He has been doing right be me since day 1 that I have been taking my car in to his shop, the last time he did some fairly major work for me, he not only came in under the original estimate by 300, he had done all the repairs we discussed, including one major repair I didn't feel like putting money into, so EVERYTHING was repaired AND he still charged me 300 less than he quoted, not including the additional repair.....SOLD!!! (He easily could have just charged me the original amount that I had already authorized..)
Plus my old car runs like a champ, better than it has in years...now I'm wonderin if he does body n paint.....
So if you are still in search of an honest car repair shop, this is one of the good ones.”
